Her music blends Americana indie with a pop leaning sensibility and strong roots in storytelling. Grounded in real-life experience, her songs explore love, heartbreak, and the evolving journey of womanhood - capturing the quiet strength it takes to lose your footing and find it again.
After spending many years performing in shows throughout her home state of Massachusetts and the northeast, she decided to take the plunge in 2023 to move to Music City, a place she claims has had a pull on her for over a decade. She has performed in many writers rounds throughout the city as well as open mics.
Influenced by many artists and genres, her favorite are her childhood inspirations like Sheryl Crow and Miranda Lambert. Kalin grew up immersed in sounds of the 90s and early 2000s country and pop and draws inspiration from icons such as Alan Jackson and Shania Twain. She also appreciates artists that stray just off the beaten path.
Kalin's music feels both reflective and forward moving - songs that sit comfortably between vulnerability and resilience. After releasing her debut single "Novocaine" in 2024, she is now entering a new chapter with an upcoming EP that is set to release in spring 2026. She also plans to play at local venues in town with her new songs.
"It is a body of work that I am truly proud of. It is rooted in truth, growth, and the beauty of becoming".
